HILLINGDON is the best borough in London for recycling, according to a new study.
It had the highest recycling facilities approval rate at 81%, as well as the highest resident recycling frequency at 94%.Commissioned to help Londoners find their perfect place to live, the LiFE Residential London Boroughs Study surveyed more than 700 residents across all 33 boroughs and districts on a variety of factors covering transport, environment and neighbourhood.
On transport: Hillingdon's outer London location meant it recorded the third highest average commute time at 51 minutes.
The borough's streets were voted the fifth cleanest by its residents, with a 64% approval rating
Support for business was also above average, with 71% of residents reporting they regularly shop locally enough to place them seventh best in London liferesidential.co.uk.
