A 41-year-old man is in a critical condition after a crash involving a bicycle and a van in Kingston.
The reported hit and run happened in Queen Elizabeth Road near the junction with Hardman Road and police were called at 3.50pm yesterday, August 27.

Police are now appealing for a van driver who "drove off" after stopping briefly to speak with the injured cyclist.

A police statement read: "The driver of the van, a white Fiat Dobio, stopped briefly at the scene and spoke with the injured cyclist before driving off. Police are now appealing for this van driver to come forward and speak with officers.

"Officers are also appealing for any witnesses to call them on 020 8543 5157."

The injured man remains in hospital where he is fighting for his life.
