Morning update: Continued slow traffic on M25 and Met Line cancellations

Good morning, here is our travel and weather update to get you through your Tuesday morning:

Travel:

Slow traffic appears on the M25 anticlockwise around J19 (Watford).


Heavy traffic on A406 North Circular Road Westbound from M1 J1 (Staples Corner) to B4557 Brentfield Road (Ikea).
Usual congestion on the A406 North Circular Road Southbound at A40 Western Avenue (Hanger Lane Gyratory).

Later this evening there is planned carriageway repairs between M1 junction 6 Bricket Wood, Hertfordshire to junction 6a (M25). This will close the M1 Northbound between 10pm and 5am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A405 Eastbound, A414 Northbound to the M1 junction 8.

The northbound entry slip road will also be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A405 Eastbound, A414 Northbound to the M1 junction 8.
Lanes 1 and 2 will be closed at the M25 anticlockwise exit slip at junction J14 for Heathrow T5 due to road repairs. Expect disruption everyday between 22:00 and 05:30 from 3 September 2019 to 6 September 2019.

Tube:


There are severe delays on the Metropolitan Line while a new signalling system is established. London Underground tickets are being accepted on Chiltern, London Overground and local bus services.

Cancellations on the Metropolitan Line include the 06:05, 06:37, 07:33 and 08:03 to Aldgate.

Weather:


A dry day is expected today with some sunny spells and light cloud. Gentle breezes will follow throughout the day. The maximum temperature will be 21°C.
