Scooter club to donate food to Foal Farm Animal Rescue

A scooter club has pledged to deliver toys and food donations to an animal rescue farm in Biggin Hill to help puppies in need.

The Big 7 Scooter Club members ride classic scooters from Sevenoaks to Biggin Hill annually to support Foal Farm Animal Rescue.

The farm takes care of cats, dogs, kittens and puppies who are seeking forever homes.

News Shopper shared an appeal in June after the farm’s kennels were flooded - disrupting dozens of dogs.

This year’s scooter run will be on September 29 from 1.30pm until 3.30pm.

A spokeswoman for the rescue farm said: "The farm will also open as usual, so that visitors are able to walk around the rescue centre and view the animals available for rehoming, as well as the farm animals and horses which live at Foal Farm permanently.

"All proceeds raised will be used to continue Foal Farm’s lifesaving work.

"The charity have been rescuing and rehoming abused, abandoned and neglected animals in Kent for almost 60 years."

Foal Farm rescues approximately 700 animals every year.

They will host its annual monthly sale on the same day as the scooter ride and a BBQ is being organised to raise money to keep animals alive.
