The Citizens Advice for Epping Forest district is inviting residents to come celebrate the facilities 80th birthday next week.
The Loughton-based branch, along with several other Citizens Advice facilities, was founded the day after World War Two was declared (September 4, 1939).
Last year the national service helped 2.7 million people across England and Wales in person, by phone, email or web chat.
A statement from Citizens Advice in Epping Forest said: “We have already held two events to celebrate this year with a 10K Charity Fun Run in Waltham Abbey and a fundraising concert ‘Atilla the Stockbroker’ in Epping.
“Our celebrations will culminate with an Open Day ’80 Years of Citizens Advice: Through the Decades.’”
The open day will be held on Wednesday, September 4, from 1pm to 3pm at Loughton library, Traps Hill.
