Morning update: Accident causes delays on M25

Good morning.

Here is your morning travel and weather update to get you through your Thursday morning.

One lane is closed and there is queueing traffic due to an accident involving two lorries on the M25 clockwise at J25 A10 Great Cambridge Road (Enfield).

Congestion to J24 A111 (Potters Bar) and on the other side back to J27 M11 due to onlookers. Lane one (Of three) is closed and travel time is 40 minutes in both directions. Traffic was held for five minutes at 05:55 to cone off the accident in lane one.

Severe delays of one hour and queueing traffic for six miles due to earlier accident involving lorry and car on A13 into town from A1153 Lodge Avenue (Lodge Avenue Junction) to River Road (Movers Lane).

The road was closed for just under an hour at 06:00, the accident occurred in lane two shortly after the Lodge Avenue flyover.

All lanes have been re-opened.

Heavy traffic on A414 North Orbital Road Eastbound between A1081 London Road (London Colney Roundabout) and A1(M) J3 / A1001 St Albans / South Hatfield.

Delays on A1 Southbound at A411 Barnet Lane (Stirling Corner). Travel time is five minutes.
Heavy traffic on A41 Southbound at M25 J20.

Usual congestion on A121 Woodridden Hill between A104 Epping New Road / B1393 / B172 (Wake Arms Roundabout) and M25 J26.


There are minor delays on the Bakerloo line whilst work is carried out to fix a signal failure at Willesden Green. Good service on all other lines.


It is expected to be dry today with sunny spells throughout the day. Highs of 24 °C are expected today.
