Three arrests made as Croydon stabbing victim's condition improves

Three men have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Croydon on Friday (August 30).

The Met Police said that three men had been taken into custody in connection to the violent assault Saturday afternoon (August 31).

All three men, aged between 19 and 22 years' old, were detained on suspicion of GBH.

The Met also updated the condition of the victim of the stabbing - a 21-year-old man - as non life-threatening.

"Police were called at 5.26pm on Friday, August 30, to Croydon High Street after a 21-year-old man was found suffering from a stab injury.

"The man has been taken to hospital where his condition has been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

"Three men - aged 19, 20 and 22 - have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and taken into custody.

"A crime scene remains in place.

"Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances," a spokeperson for the Met Police said.
As the Guardian reported previously, the victim reportedly had his phone and watch stolen during the attack.
