Two men wanted for robbing and spraying substance at 29-year-old on Bower Hill Epping

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed by two men over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The incident happened at about 8.30pm in Bower Hill, Epping on Sunday, August 25.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, had just got into a private hire car when an unknown black car model pulled up and two men got out with their faces covered.

They sprayed an unknown substance at him, which caused irritation to his eyes, and stole his watch and rucksack. He was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The suspects got back into the other car, which drove off down Stewards Green Road.

Essex Police are keen to speak to any drivers who were in the area at the time and have dash cam footage, or residents with CCTV footage.

Witnesses are asked to call Loughton CID on 101 quoting incident 1380 of Sunday 25 August.
