Greenwich ranked worst borough in London for motorbike thefts

Greenwich has been ranked the worst borough in London for motorcycle theft.

Bikers Rated found that out of the 33 boroughs across the city, 11.4 per cent of all motorcycle and scooter thefts reported in the last 12 months were in Greenwich.

The informations gathers by BikerRated.com is from stolen motorcycles reported on bikersunited.co.uk, the UK’s stolen motorcycle database.

London’s worst boroughs are Greenwich, Barking and Dagenham and Wandsworth, which together contribute 29.6 per cent of London’s total reported motorcycle thefts.

Over 27,000 motorcycles and scooters were stolen in the UK in 2018.

That's one in seven of the vehicles stolen in the UK and yet motorcycles make up just 2 per cent of all registered vehicles on UK roads.
