There is no service on the Northern Line this morning

If you travel to work using the Northern line, then you best look for another route.

Just after 6am this morning, the Underground service tweeted out that due to a signalling fault, there was absolutely no service on any of its trains.

This frustrated people online with many sharing their thoughts.

"I honestly just can’t be bothered anymore," one angry passenger said.

"Yeah good luck getting the entire patronage of the Northern line onto regular bus services," another added.

Then just after 7am there was hope. The Northern line Twitter account tweeted again.
But alas, it was not good news.

"Disruption update," the tweet began.

"We still have no service due to a signalling system failure.

"We're working hard to restore the service, & tickets are being accepted on Southeastern, Thameslink, London Trams and Buses."

It is unclear how long the service will be halted for.
